MOT – Durham

As motorists, we often complain about the need to get an MOT done on our vehicles, but in reality, we should all appreciate that this really is a worthwhile obligation.

It means that every vehicle on the road should be in a safe, roadworthy condition and not polluting the environment around us with harmful emissions. Origin Automotive is a Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) approved MOT testing station capable of carrying out Class 4 & 7 MOT tests, including on hybrid and electric vehicles, at our Durham workshop.

Naturally, we are regulated, but we are also extremely customer-focused, and our aim is to offer sound advice as well as a high standard of service quality. We will be pleased to carry out a pre-MOT inspection and undertake any preparation work should your vehicle show any signs that it might fail the test. And in cases where pre-inspections are not requested, we are able to provide a full range of competitively priced post-test repair services to ensure your vehicle passes its MOT re-test and gets you legally back on the road.

Staff couldn't have been more helpful diagnosing and sorting a problem with our motorhome whilst en route to our holiday destination. Even made mugs of tea to calm the family's collective nerves. Great find, great value. Highly recommended.

Up visiting in the area when clutch went. Recovered by RAC to Origin Automotive, cannot fault them, kept me updated, had a price which I thought was very reasonable and had the car back a couple of days later.

Fantastic service by all at Origin Automotive,after breaking down and trying several garages that are local to me all who didn't really want the job or didn't have a clue where to start with the diagnosis i went to Graham at Origin,amazing service from the start,dropped van off and problems were diagnosed and repaired the same day,extremely professional and very reasonably priced for such a swift job,will certainly be my go to garage from now on,breakdown was on a Renault Master van,would not start,most places wouldn't touch it, thanks for sorting me out so quickly to all at Origin
